Beginning  his aviation career in the in the dynamic and fast-paced world of a carrier-based U.S. Navy fighter pilot, Chris flew the F/A-18 Hornet with the VFA-113 Stingers. Deploying aboard carriers around the world, he mastered the skills needed to  succeed in the demanding and extremely unforgiving  environment of the carrier flight deck: precision, teamwork, and operating under intense pressure.  

As an F/A-18 Instructor pilot, Chris passed these critical lessons on to the next generation of Hornet pilots. He perfected his skills as a teacher, leader and communicator while instructing pilots in low-level night attack and air-to-air combat. 

Chris brings the valuable real-world lessons of leadership, teamwork, excellence in execution, communication, and decision making under pressure to help your company, team, or organization succeed. 

After completing his military service, Chris entered the world of commercial aviation as a pilot with a major U.S. airline. Continuing his passion for teaching and developing others, he has spent many years serving as an instructor and check airman. Chris has specialized in the area of leadership, Human Factors and safety, developing and delivering training to thousands of commercial pilots on Crew Resource Management  (CRM). CRM is the specific set of skills and techniques that flight crews use to manage errors, mitigate threats, and maximize team effectiveness, resulting in the astounding level of safety achieved in the airline industry.

Recognized as an expert in Human Factors and as a gifted communicator, Chris brings these lessons from aviation to companies and industries where high performance is essential and the consequence for human failure can mean disaster. 

Since 2010 Chris has been inspiring a wide variety of audiences  through his compelling presentations to achieve greater individual, team, and organizational results.
